News2011 Awards Announced from Kids R Kids International
Once again, Kids R Kids Castle Hills has claimed the highest possible award category for both health and safety and curriculum delivery!
We claimed the “Platinum” award for the third year in a row. We have received this award every eligible year since we opened. We received 7,147 out of 7,300 possible points for a score of 98%. This unannounced inspection focuses on health, safety, facilities, equipment & material, and supervision & program. Approximately, only 15% to 20% of the 170 KRK schools nation-wide achieve this level.
Additionally, we claimed “Hug Above the Rest” for the second year in a row. Last year was the first year this award was offered by KRK International. The “Hug Above the Rest” award focuses solely on curriculum facilitation and classroom management. Approximately, only 8% to 10% of the 170 KRK schools nation-wide achieve this level. The reason this is a very difficult award to receive is because the auditors check 43 elements within each room including: Physical Environment, Teacher Interaction, Classroom Management, and Learning Stations. All 12 classrooms must score 100% to achieve “Hug Above the Rest.”
It is because we have maintained Platinum (health & safety) and Hug Above the Rest (Program) levels that we can continue to be classified with "Learning Academy" status instead of the normal "Schools of Quality Learning" status by KRK corporate.
